I’m diving into some sweet philosophical ponderings this week with Alan Watt’s “Nature, Man, and Woman”. This slender volume is packed with illuminating ideas about the nature of humanity. The selection I chose, from the chapter “The World as Ecstasy”, explores humankind’s propensity to move away from feeling, particularly from feeling pain. So often, we tend to withdraw not just from discomfort, but from the ability to feel discomfort. In this avoidance we start to withdraw from our very humanity. Hope you dig it!

Today marks the first of a four part series on ritual basics. If you’ve never practiced before, or you’re looking for a brush up on some basics, or you’re just curious what all this whole practicing magic entails, this is a good place to start! I’ll be talking about cleansing, grounding and centering in this week’s episode: why you do it, how to do it, and a bevy of options to fit your circumstances. I hope you enjoy the show, and I’d love to hear from you!

This week’s episode featured a very special interview with Steven Anderson of Metal Mysterium: Astrology & Art, Beautifully Interwoven. My first interview on Squeaky’s Cauldron!

Steven visited us to share some information about the upcoming Vernal Equinox, that shift from winter into spring for those of us on the Northern hemisphere, which will take place on March 19th this year, in just under a week!

Gather round the cauldron, lovelies! This week has been full of twists and turns in the health realm, and it brought me to the startling (but it shouldn't be) realization that healing isn't linear! It goes up and down and in and out and is a constant cycle of growth and discovery--and apparent setbacks. But when we learn to embrace the difference faces and move with the process, we can let go of some of the suffering, some of the confusion, and some of the mistrust.

Gather round the cauldron lovelies, for a special episode! Today I'll be talking about the subject I know best--me! For this episode I give a brief history of my life, where I've come, major influences, and why I've gotten to where I am today. I hope this episode will give you all a little insight into who I am, and the ground on which I'm walking. Maybe you'll hear a little bit of yourself in my story!
